Master Chief and Cortana

A commission for , a gift for her boyfriend.

Holy crap. Uh. This was hard. Even harder than I had thought it would be. I spent 6+ hours on this. My usual sculpting time is 4 hours at the most. Let me preface by saying I don't play Halo so I don't know these characters.

So... I've never really been able to remotely successfully make a proper proportional human figure in clay, and in this one we can see I've not yet perfected it, but, at least in person (because the pictures don't show Cortana's detail well) I did pretty well. This is going to be really hard to mail, because I just KNOW it's going to break on me T.T It's my luck... Also the fragile little extended thing that is Cortana. HURG.

Chief came out quite nicely I think, I like his helmet a lot and the back of his armor is probably my favorite part. But yes, before you ask, I will not make one like this again unless I'm offered something like 35 or more dollars to do it. This one was dreadfully hard. @.@ But I think in the end the hard work shows through. It was a successful undertaking.
